MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

Responsible for providing engineering support to specifically assigned Plant production departments through continual improvement of machinery (or through appropriation of new machinery) and of processes within the production and quality departments (including supervision of production employees to achieve departmental goals through proper coordination and control while utilizing defect prevention tools and implementation of quality assurance programs).

The qualified candidate will possess the following:

• Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing/Industrial Technology, Business or Statistical Math, or significant related manufacturing experience.  An emphasis or previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus!
• 0-4 years of related industrial experience preferably in a metal working environment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

ENGINEERING INTERN (Internship position with flexible hours)

Responsible for providing engineering support for improvement of processes.

Specific Duties:

• Assists in the development and deployment of projects with specific operational          personnel.
• Operation of personal computer for purposes of design, documentation, statistical analysis, and process development and improvement.
• Assists in analyzing the effectiveness of inspection techniques, standards and production procedures and proposes improvements when needed.
• Assists in analyzing sample results to determine causes of defects and identifies corrective actions necessary and reports the same to supervisor(s).
• Recommends processes and equipment which will improve the effectiveness of process.
• Assists Department Managers in training hourly and salaried employees as needed.
• Develops standards and work instructions that will support the process.
• Interaction with other departments and personnel and natural ability to be a team player.
• Support the Plant quality systems, goals and productivity improvements, goals within the scope of the job.
• Support the Plant safety improvement programs and safety goals within the scope of the job.

Education:

Working towards a degree from an accredited College or University with a major in Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, Business or Statistical Math, or significant related manufacturing experience.
